Install
- Download the installer: somewear-tvpn.pkg
- Launch the downloaded
.pkgfile to install. sudo tvpn up— starts TVPN in the background.- Your browser opens to the TVPN web app.
- Press Enter to accept the default domain URL (
api.somewear.cois Somewear Commercial Cloud). - Sign in with your Somewear account email in the new tab.
- Once you see confirmation that you’re authenticated, close the tab and return to your terminal.
Ping test
- You’ll need at least 2 devices with TVPN installed for this test.
- Open the Terminal application.
tvpn ip list— lists the virtual IPs in your Workspace. Copy one (not your own).ping <ip>— ping it. This may take a second or two if TVPN is still booting up in the background.Ctrl+Cto stop the ping.
Configuration
TVPN’s configuration file is at /var/db/somewear/tvpn/config.toml. Edit it and restart TVPN (tvpn down && tvpn up) to apply changes. Run tvpn -h for the full list of settings.
