Before any mission relying on BLOS capability, complete the following ground test.

1. Establish a full LOS + BLOS connection per LOS + BLOS Operation.

2. Verify a mission plan can be uploaded via LOS: push a plan from the GCS application and read it back to confirm.

3. Move the aircraft outside with a clear view of the sky. Avoid proximity to tall buildings.

4. Confirm BLOS telemetry is working:

   • With the aircraft powered on and a GPS fix acquired, log in to the Somewear web portal at somewear.app (or your hosted environment) and open the Map screen.
   • Confirm the aircraft appears and updates on the map. This confirms an active BLOS link. (The aircraft card will also show Connection: BLOS during fallback.)

5. Test BLOS command delivery:

   • Disconnect the USB-C cable from the GCS computer. Wait at least 3 seconds to trigger the BLOS fallback state.
   • Observe that GPS coordinates in the GCS application begin updating at a slower cadence — normal BLOS telemetry behavior.
   • Push a modified mission plan from the GCS application.
   • Watch the aircraft card’s Flight Log. When the upload entry reaches Delivered, the aircraft has received the updated plan.
   • Reconnect the USB-C cable to restore LOS.
   • Read the mission plan back from the aircraft and confirm it matches the plan sent over BLOS.

If all checks pass, the system is ready for flight.
