The following antennas have been tested and qualified by Somewear Labs for use with the Horizon Hardware Unit. Use of other antennas is at the integrator’s discretion.
LOS Antennas (Aircraft and GCS)
Somewear Labs recommends a linearly-polarized, ground-plane-independent antenna with an omnidirectional radiation pattern. Maximum in-band VSWR should not exceed 2:1.

BLOS Antennas (Aircraft and GCS)
Use only Iridium- or Inmarsat-certified antennas with the BLOS radio (matched to the satellite modem variant of the unit). These antennas have been tested and approved by Iridium Satellite Communications for use with their respective networks.
