The Horizon system supports two operating modes:

Mode	Description
Mode A — BLOS-Only	No initial LOS. Connect to an aircraft already airborne or preparing for launch via satellite link only.
Mode B — LOS + BLOS	Start with LOS, with automatic BLOS fallback if LOS is lost. Standard mission profile.
