The messaging interface has a refreshed look, unifying its design with the rest of the web app and Somewear’s mobile platforms.
Messages are no longer confined to the Messages tab. A right-hand panel now carries every conversation onto whatever screen you’re working — devices, settings, the map — so you can stay in context and still reach the team. Click the collapse control (the v icon in the panel’s top-left corner) to shrink it into a dock that frees the rest of the screen; expand it again to see the full thread list.
In the thread list, Workspace chats and direct messages are easy to tell apart at a glance:
- Square tiles are Workspace chats — shared group channels.
- Circular tiles are direct messages — one-on-one conversations.
The collapsed dock shows your 5 most recent conversations using the same tile shapes. On the map, the dock expands and collapses automatically as you interact with markers and other assets, so it doesn’t cover the work you’re doing there.
